30-day trials

July 11, 2010

A 30-day trial is a good way to start a new habit, or to quit a habit. The concept is simple, you commit to a new habit for 30 days only, you evaluate the effects, and decide to go on or stop.

The mental trick is that you only commit to 30-days, no more. So that it feels very doable, it is much easier than trying to commit to something indefinitely.

So, starting today, I’ve decided to start two 30-day trials, my friend has also started another two of his own…

1- Stop Pepsi and all related beverages

2- Limit daily internet usage to one hour

I’ll keep updating as I go along…
